Our Story
Nicholas and Sophia are twins, dance partners, and best friends who have grown up sharing a passion for movement and performance.
From stepping onto the ice at 3½ years old to years of training in both ice dance and ballroom, their journey has been filled with dedication, challenges, unforgettable experiences, and dreams they continue to chase together.
NISO is their story — two siblings, one team, and one extraordinary journey.
OUR ICE DANCE STORY
Nicholas and Sophia first stepped onto the ice at just 3½ years old. What began as learning to skate quickly became something special. By age four, they were paired together as a team, and they have been skating side by side ever since.
Growing up as twins and ice dance partners, they progressed together through Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Intermediate, and now Novice, developing not only their skating skills but also the unique connection that comes from a lifetime of dancing together.
Through countless hours of training, competitions, victories, challenges, and unforgettable experiences, their love for ice dance has continued to grow. Today, Nicholas and Sophia are working toward the next chapter of their journey, with their sights set on progressing through the highest levels of the sport and representing the United States on the international stage.

Our Ballroom Dance Story
With parents who are professional ballroom dancers, dance has always been part of Nicholas and Sophia’s lives. They began ballroom training to complement their skating and develop the qualities that are so important in ice dance—musicality, posture, elegance, movement, and connection as a couple.
What started as additional training soon became much more. Nicholas and Sophia developed a genuine love and natural ability for ballroom dancing, dedicating countless hours to learning and competing while continuing their training on the ice.
Over the years, the influence of ballroom dance became increasingly visible in their skating. Their understanding of music, body movement, partnering, presentation, and dance character helped shape the performers they are becoming today.
For Nicholas and Sophia, ballroom dancing has never been separate from their skating journey. The ballroom taught them how to dance. The ice gave them a place to fly.
